One of the fundamental principles you need to follow to make your marketing successful is the idea of educating your target market. For example, at the bottom of your road there could be a restaurant that makes the best food in the world, but if you didn’t know about it, you would never eat there.

The same principle should be applied to your product or service. You could have the best product or service in the world, but if no one knows about it, how are people meant to buy from you?

There are two sides to marketing on a mass level. The first is to build an audience. All companies need to build an audience in order to increase their sales pipelines. The second is to educate that audience so that they want to buy from you - otherwise you’ll just waste time and money on building an audience who have no idea what you do.

The reason why you need a pipeline of prospects is because not everyone is ready to buy from you when they find you. In fact, if you were to look back through your sales ledger, you will see that a lot of people may have bought from you months down the line. If you constantly try and sell to people all the time you will just put them off altogether.

By educating your audience about your products and services, showing how good they are, and adding real value to your audience, when the time comes for them to actually buy, who do you think they will buy from? You, of course.

If your customers believe you provided them with enough value and they trust you, what do you think will happen then? They will recommend you, or at least refer you, to their network, from which warm leads will come.

Many new clients come from our existing clients; we have a staggering amount of contacts who have recommended us to people we’ve never worked with before. Others simply read our blogs, watch our videos, and glean from our content that we know what we’re talking about.

Everything we have covered in our ‘12 tips of Christmas’ - from videos to blogs, from SEO to royalty-free images - exists to help you and your business become more visible to the world and also to boost your credibility. For those of you who are members of BNI, you’ll know that Visibility + Credibility = Profitability.

The problem is, though, we don’t all necessarily have the time to do everything we should when it comes to our marketing. Or maybe you are covering all bases, but your results indicate that you’re still not quite hitting the spot. This is where external help from experts would benefit you. Whether you require a full marketing strategy or you would just like to get your product or service in front of the right people at the right time, read ITK magazine on a regular basis for help and advice on all aspects of business.

If you would like to take things to the next level, feel free to get in touch and see how we can improve your visibility and credibility through ITK magazine. Alternatively, we can introduce you to our sister company, Novus Marketing Solutions Ltd, which provides help, advice and support on all aspects of marketing.

This final tip in our ‘12 tips of Christmas’ series indicates that the festive season is almost upon us. Make the most of time spent with your family and friends as we have a feeling 2021 is going to be a busy year...the year of thriving.
